15818. BEST YOUTH FARMER OF THE YEAR

Daughter from Ghana : “Good afternoon Papa, hope mama n our siblings are all doing well. The God of this Thanksgiving altar has given me another reason to lift praises unto his name: – A FARMER’S DAY AWARD!

“Papa we have 3 green houses that belongs to my brother, but I supervise it. For about 2 years now yield hasn’t been encouraging and we are only using one kit. The other 2 has their top removed for works to be done in the house. For the last farming season we experienced a lot of challenges.”

“The main farm house had Chilli pepper planted in it and the other 2 has Okro. When it was getting to the farmers day, a day set aside every year to celebrate farmers, the lady staying with us who takes care of the farm was hinted that it is possible she will be one of the award winners for our district but she should pray hard.”

“Although we didn’t know what will be given to her, I TOLD HER WE SHOULD THANK GOD FOR IT INSTEAD OF PRAYING.”

“Normally the agric extension officers go round a final time before the day. During that week she called about 2 times but they were busy so they didn’t turn up. on Tuesday 3 Dec she had a call from the office to come for her letter. When she got there, there it was a CONGRATULATION LETTER RECOGNIZING HER AS THE BEST YOUTH FARMER FOR OUR DISTRICT. She thanked them and came home.”

“On the “D” day before we left we prayed together AND THANKED GOD FOR THE AWARD although we didn’t know what it was. We went to the event everything went well and it was time for the awards. Lo and behold it was her turn and these were the things she received:

A chest freezer,

2 Wellington boots,

4cutlasses,

1 wheel barrow,

2 vegetables baskets,

1 weighing scale,

2 knapsack spraying machine,(agrochemicals)

4 litres of insecticides,

2kg of fungicides,

1 kg of magic soil.

50 small sachets of iodated salts

and finally a CERTIFICATE AS THE BEST YOUTH FARMER.

The things she received were even more than some of the bigger farms. Papa please help us to thank Rabboni for the beginning of these wonderful things. These are the pictures”
