FAITH DOESN’T COME BY READING THE LETTERS OF THE BIBLE ( “for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life…” 2 Corinthians 3:6) BUT BY HEARING AND HEARING AGAIN THE VOICE OF GOD INSIDE THE WORD OF GOD.

GOD IS A SPIRIT. THEREFORE, HIS VOICE IS IN THE SPIRIT. YOU CAN NEVER HEAR GOD WHEN YOU’RE IN THE FLESH. WHEN YOU’RE OVERWHELMED BY THE EMOTIONS OF THE FLESH, YOU CAN’T HEAR HIS VOICE, WHICH IS THE VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT GIVETH LIFE.

DON’T BE TOO SERIOUS WITH AN ULTIMATUM SPIRIT THAT MUST GET MEANING OF EVERY WORD FROM THE BIBLE.

GOD DOES NOT FORCEFEED HIS PEOPLE WHEN HE WANTS TO IMPART REVELATION FROM HIS WORD. HE DOESN’T WANT TO CHOKE YOU WITH HIS WORD. GOD’S REVELATION IS STRONGMEAT. YOU CAN’T EAT IT THE WAY YOU DRINK MILK LIKE A SUCKLING INFANT. THAT’S WHY HE SAID IN ISAIAH 28:9 – “Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.”

REVELATION IS STRONGMEAT AND NOT MEANT FOR SPIRITUAL BABES.

GOD FEEDS YOU REVELATIONS “LITTLE BY LITTLE, PRECEPT BY PRECEPT, LINE UPON LINE…”

“But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little …” (ISAIAH 28:13)

READ YOUR BIBLE WITH PLEASURE AND NOT WITH ULTIMATUM. PAUSE AS MANY TIMES TO THINK OVER WHAT YOU’RE READING. IF NOTHING STRUCK YOU IN YOUR MEDITATIONS, DON’T BE DISAPPOINTED, JUST KEEP ON READING PLEASURABLY UNTIL SOMETHING STRIKES YOUR THOUGHTS AND MEDITATIONS. THEN, WAIT TO PONDER MORE…

THAT SOMETHING IS THE ALMOST INAUDIBLE VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. IT STRIKES GENTLY AND WITH A DIFFERENCE, AND YOU TOO WILL KNOW THIS IS NOT COMING YOUR THOUGHTS. IT’S LIKE AN INDEPENDENT ILLUMINATION

THAT’S HOW TO GET THE TREASURE THAT THE HOLY BIBLE CARRIES.

DON’T FORCE IT. IF YOU DO, IT WILL CHOKE YOU. JUST LET GO, UNTIL THE AUTHOR WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT COMES BACK TO YOU.

WHENEVER THAT ILLUMINATION STRIKES, YOU FEEL SUCH A GREAT AND REFRESHING RELIEF, AND ALL WEARINESS DISAPPEARS! IF YOU MISS THAT REVELATION, YOU REMAIN RESTLESS ISAIAH 28:12 “To whom he said, This is the REST wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”

9. Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

11. For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

12. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

13. But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
