6143. WEEK 15 LINDELANI MISSION OUTREACH REPORTS
Good evening Dad.
Glory be to God for a powerful and spirit filled service. God is building His church.
Sis Sithembile was the MC for the day.
She also led the opening prayer.
There we no testimonies shared today.
Sis Sithembile led a lesson on praise, worship and repentance.
She taught about aligning our thoughts with the word of God. As the psalmist taught us on Psalm 103:1. Everything within us must praise the name of the LORD and that include our thought and the choice that we make on a daily basis.
Mrs Thapelo Mabuza shared the word today.
John 9:1-8 and 1Sam 2:8 Scripture reference will be found in JOHN 9:1-8
The blind man is shown sitting on the floor (dust) begging to the point whereby the neighbors and some community members knew him as a beggar.
A blind man cannot beg standing on his feet but will sit down, where?on the DUST. Begging symbolises poverty, what does it mean? The blind man was a poor man. Poor man living where? Poor man living on the streets, begging from where? Begging from the dust.
The message found in 1Samuel 2:8 “He raises up the poor out of the dust and lifts up the needy from the ash heaps…”
How was the blind man who was poor and begging was raised from the dust?
Scripture reference: John 9:1, as Jesus passed along He noticed a blind man from his birth. This blind man became a mockery to his parents to a point of being abandoned by them, but we see Jesus looking at him knowing that here is a chance of raising this poor man from the dust. Jesus answers his disciples question saying “Neither this man nor his parents sinned…but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life”. The work of raising the poor from the dust and lifts up the needy from the ash heaps.
When the blind man received sight, neighbors and people who saw him begging asked each other:
Is this the same man who used to sit and beg?? Sit where? In the dust
Why were they asking? Because the poor blind beggar who happened to be blind was raised up from the dust and received his sight.
What is your dust?
Could it be:
Sickness and diseases
Today Jesus is here to raise you up from that dust. If you are needy, Jesus is here to lift up the needy from the ash heaps.
After the word there was a deliverance session. The 21 deliverance prayer points were fired today. It was a powerful session and we praise the LORD for His faithfulness.
We enjoyed Rice, mince meat, potato salad and pumpkin.
Glory be to God for such a service and we are looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith to complete the good word he has started in Lindelani.
