TEENS Open Heavens Daily Devotional: CHILDREN ARE OUR TOMORROW – (Monday 26th September 2016) – By Pastor E. A. Adeboye

Memorise: Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Please Read : Genesis 18:17-19

17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

MESSAGE

A child is supposed to be the future of his or her parents and is also expected to be an improved and better version of their parents. It follows therefore that an unsaved child is a sorrow to the parents. This is why a lot of parents today are investing in their children. It is very sad when we hear parents saying they do not want their children to be better than them – how sad. Such parents have missed it.

It’s also sad that some parents would rather spend huge amounts of money on clothes and other material things but refuse to invest greatly in their children’s education. No child begged to be brought into the world. As a young person, you need to continue to pray for your parents so that they give you the best for the future – Jesus and education being the key.

Key Point:

The greatest legacy to give a child is Jesus, followed by a good education up to University. Thank God for this legacy wherever you are.
