TEENS Open Heavens Daily Devotional: BEWARE OF MANIPULATORS – (Sunday 25th September 2016) – By Pastor E. A. Adeboye
Memorise: Proverbs 22:3 “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.”
Please Read : Proverbs 22:1-5
1 A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
2 The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.
3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
4 By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.
5 Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.
Bible In One Year : Leviticus 13:45-14:32; 1 Corinthians 9:8-23
When a person is popular because of the position they hold in the service of God, such a person must be careful not to use that which they have received from God against God. In the book of Numbers 16:2, 250 princes were deceived and tempted which tells MD that anyone could fall into a trap if not careful.
Be careful, be watchful and be prayerful. When you get any proposal, even though it may seem good to the eyes, always check it out in line with the word of God. Anything that is on offer but does not align with the word of God must be rejected without any fear. Never allow yourself to be manipulated no matter who the person is. Another group of people to avoid are those who sing your praises so much – they never find any fault in you and constantly sing your praises. Be careful and ask God to let you know if they are genuine because if they are not, you may not know when they will lead you astray. Ask God for help.
Pray that God will deal with anyone with wrong intentions hanging around you.
