Shine In Prosperity: TEENS Open Heavens Daily Devotional (Monday 5 September) – By Pastor E. A. Adeboye

Date: Monday 5 September
Theme: Shine In Prosperity

Memorise: “Proclaim further: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem” – Zechariah 1:17
Please Read: Deuteronomy 28:9-13

28:9 The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.

28:10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.

28:11 And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

28:12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

28:13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

Bible In One Year: Exodus 12:13-16; Romans 8:1-17

God’s expectations for us His children is huge. Now only does He expect us to be good examples in our character or how we tell others about Jesus, He also expects us to shine in the area of prosperity. We see this expectation expressed in Deuteronomy 28:12 where He tells us that:
God says you will be so wealthy that you will lend to nations – He can make it happen as long as you play your part. It is important to note that where you are does not determine whether you will get to where God is taking you. If He can locate David and bring him from the field to become a king (2 Samuel 7:8), He has not changed. He did the same for Joseph when He brought him out of prison and made him Prime Minister in a foreign land. It follows therefore that nothing can stop God. It is well with your tomorrow.

Prayer Point: Father, show me off to the world with your prosperity.
