Purpose of marriage – By Terrell Spivey

I would begin a testimonial series I call “TELL IT TERRELL” with this post. it is about the testimonies and exhortations of a young, fervent and Holy-Ghost-filled Facebook believer in Christ and minister of the Gospel I met about a year ago. That guy sure bubbles with contagious fire and raging fire of the Holy Spirit, he dynamites the Facebook with awesome testimonies of the moves of God’s power with fiery evangelistic zeal that harvest many souls to the kingdom of our Lord.

While studying yesterday’s Sunday School lesson, some interesting points were brought to my attention that i hadn’t thought about before….Get this…when God created everything, he said it was good, but when he noticed that Adam was alone, he said Genesis 2:18 *It is NoT gOOd* that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Notice God didn’t say that the Man he created wasn’t good, but the fact that he was alone wasn’t good!

And then we know the scripture goes on to say that God then created Woman from the rib of Adam and she became his WiFe! Matter of fact ill share that….Genesis 2:21-24 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a *Woman*(not another man…that’s a whole nother sermon), and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his WiFe: and they shall be one flesh.(read those scriptures a few times and let it saturate…simply powerful)

So now we can perceive that after God created Woman, God knew it was good and Adam was satisfied or in a sense complete because he now had companionship just as all the other species he named did.
Look at Proverbs 18:22… Whoso findeth a WIFE findeth a *GOOD* thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord. We cant do everything fellas…God created a help meet aka wife aka woman to help us along the way…as a matter of fact, there’s potential concerning certain areas that only a wife/woman can pull out of us…
Hmmm…ill let you ponder upon that in your mind so that the Holy Spirit can give you revelation from it.

Oh and how could Adam fulfill God’s command to be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth without a woman…I know I aint tryna have no baby come up outta me! Lollll power to you ladies smh lol
One more interesting point I want to bring out is that when God created woman, he took a rib from Adam which is located more or less at the center of the body. He didn’t choose anything from the head which could be thought she would rule over man, nor the feet to be trampled upon by the man, but instead the rib is compared to being by his side…someone to be compatible to him…a woman should not thought to be of lesser quality than a man… there’s power and effectiveness in a married couple who’s working together in the ministry! And not only married women, but single women in the ministry who’s about there Father’s business are powerful too! Hmmm…I know this will get some men upset, especially those who says God cant use a woman. Up! Imma leave that alone! Lol Anywho….take the scriptures, study, meditate, discern, and ask the Father to show you what you need to get out of it. Theres alot of other points that can be brought out pertaining to the role and importance of women, marriage done the correct way, fornication etc etc…but ive wrote enuff! Lol Glory to God!
