HOW TO HAVE BREAKTHROUGH IN LIFE: (Financial and Kindom Success Series)

Memorised: 2 Chronicles 7:14:“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

1 Kings 18:30-46:“And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down. And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the Lord came, saying, Israel shall be thy name: And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord:and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed. And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood. And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time. And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces:and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God. And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them:and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there. And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not. And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.”

Breakthrough is an act of overcoming or penetrating an obstacle or restriction. Being a Christian does not give you an automatic breakthrough but a doorway to the breakthrough that has been won for you by Christ. This victory comes when you identify your position in God and you use all the equipment available to you to chase the enemy out of your territory. One of the major equipment you need is PRAYER. Spiritual warfare is tough but the weapons that God provides for His children are tougher. The truth is that many people will continue to have problem until they are determined to get out of their bondage and declare like Esther; “If I perish I perish.” Then the devil will know that there is problem and the challengers will know that you mean business.

Do not prefer to remain in bondage to any sickness, or any unfavourable situation. Declare now that you are getting out of it. (Read Exodus 15:9-10, Revelation 12:12) The fact is that the devil has convinced some people that he must be left alone and that is a clear indication that he has already captured them.

Today, the Devil is using seven powerful spirits to hinder the people from breaking through in life.

The spirit of confusion – 1 Corinthians 14:33

The spirit of fear – II Timothy 1:7

The spirit of frustration – Romans 11:8

The spirit of promiscuity – I Corinthians 6:18

The spirit of backsliding – Jeremiah 8:5

Seductive spirit – Revelation 16:14

The spirit of rebellion – I Samuel 15:23

Except you strive to overcome this spirits mention above, you cannot breakthrough in prayers.

Is it really true that one can prevail and breakthrough through prayers? are there example of people that prevail in prayers? The answer to these questions is YES. There are various examples of people that prevail through prayers, but we will be looking at just two people from the word of God.

Elijah: – In our text: 1 Kings Chapter 18 prevailed in prayer. He said (Verse 37-39)

“Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. 38 Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God.”

The Church for Peter Acts 12:1-10; “…but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.” Verse 5b. As a result of the Church persistent prayers, God send His Angel to come and deliver Peter.

Acts 12:7-8:“And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison:and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.”.

Therefore brethren, I want you to know that when a weaker power meets with a stronger power, the weaker power vanishes. Perhaps you have not yet surrendered your life unto Jesus. You are not born again. You cannot fire any successful arrow at the enemy. Instead, the enemy will be stronger against you. But if you want to succeed in your journey of life, overcome the enemy and breakthrough in life, the first step is to get born again and surrender your life to Jesus. I am not talking about being confirmed or baptized with water. What I am saying is; Are you born again? Have you publicly surrendered your life unto Jesus? If you have not done so, you have to do it now because tomorrow may be too late. If you want to do it, then say this prayer right now and right there

Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, have mercy upon me, forgive all my iniquity and accept me into your perfect kingdom. I promise not to go back into my former way of life. Thank you Jesus for answering my prayer, in the name of Jesus I have prayed. (Amen)

I welcome you to a new life in Christ Jesus. Pray the following breakthrough prayers and your life will never remain the same.

1. God that hears prayers, pour upon me the spirit of prayers and supplication Ps 65:2
2. Power to breakthrough in prayers, come upon me in the name of Jesus.
3. Endure me with power to prevail in prayers.
4. I am getting out of all negative circumstances, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every power working against my advancement and breakthrough, receive the arrow of fire, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every power working against the peace of my life, receive the arrow of fire, in Jesus’ name.
7. You strongman attached to my family, receive the arrow of fire, in the name of Jesus.
8. Every household wickedness, receive the arrow of fire, in the name of Jesus.
9. Every spirit of academicals failure, receive the arrow of fire, in the name of Jesus.
10. (Put one hand on your chest and the other one on the stomach). Lord, touch my system with your fire, in the name of Jesus.
11. (Retain your hands on your chest and your stomach) Lord Jesus, touch the foundation of my life with your fire, in the name of Jesus.
12. I clear away the hidden places of the enemy in my life, in the name of Jesus.
13. Let my breakthrough manifest powerfully this year, in the name of Jesus.
14. Any power hindering my breakthrough this year, receive the arrow of fire, in the name of Jesus.
15. All good ways that have been closed in my life, open, in the name of Jesus.
16. As you mention one situation, shout: receive the arrow of fire, in the name of Jesus, three times:
• Every anti-progress spirit.
• All the powers revealing my secrets to the enemy.
• Every evil friend that has been sent into my business.
• Every unprofitable attachment to my prayer life.
• Every power blocking the anointing of God in my life.
• Every serpentine spirit.
• All satanic attackers in the dream.
• Every spirit of demotion.
17. I send every bondage back to the sender, in Jesus’ name.
