Prayer 2010: The Battle Of The Gate

Isaiah 28:6: “And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.”

Matthew 12:29: “…or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man?…”

Luke 11:21-22: “When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.”

Psalm 24:3-10: “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.”

There is an uncommon battle which everyone that wish to be free indeed in the new year and next decade 2010-2019 must fight in the next few days crossing over to 2010. I call it: THE BATTLE OF THE GATE.

That battle is not fought with the arm of flesh. That battle is not with the strength of your muscles and physique. Those who will fight that battle must fight it in the spirit, when their flesh has shrunk and withered. That is why that first scripture above say for strength to them that turn the battle to the gates…

You may ask: why the battle to the gate? The answer: ‘Only those who win the battle of the gates will conquer the city.’ And you are a city set upon a hill. In ancient times every city worth its salt was fenced round with walls and gates. Ancient Babylon, Egypt, Israel, etc. were notable examples and not exceptions of these.

The gate of every year is the beginning of that year; the gate of every month is the beginning of that month; the gate of every week is the beginning of that week; the gate of every day is the wee hours (from 12midnight) of that day. There is a strongman or spiritual gate keeper at the entry  point of the new decade 2010-1019.

Let me tie the three anchor scriptures together for you to make a whole piece of assignment for the cross-over prayers into 2010……. (Pardon me for the break in transmission, I declare that we already have a significant victory over every distraction targeted at derailing this divine mandate).

What I was emphasizing here is the principle of mortifying the flesh through fasting, in fact dry fasting. Let me share my personal end-of-year practice with you on this subject. It is a 21-day adventures into the spirit to please God, mortify my flesh and do battle to defeat the spiritual gate-keeper (the strongman) at the entry point of any new year. Grom the 11th December, I begin fasting and breaking daily to prepare me for the last battle at cross-over night into any new year. After 14 days of daily fasting, I change spiritual gear by swinging in for what I call “the last kill”. The last seven days of a year from 25th to 31st December is a dry-fasting period for me. Why all these elaborate fasting and night vigils, you may want to ask me.

The Lord took me patiently for eleven months of June 2001 to April 2002, into what I called the secret of greatness. He showed me through diligent study of the lives of seven great servants of God (Dr. David Yonggi Cho, Dr. Enoch Adejare Adeboye and Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, just to mention three of the seven), and taught me the secrets of their greatness. By the end of that spiritual adventure, I drew a conclusion by nicknaming these seven people as: “Generals of God’s Midnight Army”. I immediately enlisted in that army in the “School of Midnight Watches”. From then till now, my life has taken a dramatic turn from the dunghill to the palace, and I mean every word of that -THE PALACE! Which palace? You may ask: It is the palace of the strongman (Luke 11:21-22), the palace of plunder and spoils. The three principal divine assignments of those whom God gave that privileged access is to:

1. DISTIBUTE!
2. DISTRIBUTE!!
3. DISTRIBUTE!!!

I pray that God would take you too to the palace of possessions of the strongman and make you a distributor of spoils and plunder. Now let me provoke you to anger and disagreement with me, if you can. And this is a very sad note and unpalatable discovery: It is not everybody, it is not all of us that would enter the palace of the strongman. Why? Because not all of us may like the mad rigour demanded by that army of occupation. Even the Lord Jesus assured us that the poor will always be with us. Yes, there would always be poor Christians in the kingdom, and listen to this, they would even make heaven like Lazarus, but their tears of lost opportunities would not cease. How much treasures of darkness they did not see, and hidden riches of secret places they never discovered while on earth. Lift up your right hand to the heavenlies in anger and vomit this prayer points, please hold, if you don’t like these militant prayers, just skip them and continue reading, your turn may or may not come in this message:

1. Every power assigned to perpetually prevent me from entry into the palace of the strongman, what are you waiting for? DIE! DIE!! DIE!!! DIE!!!! DIE!!!!! DIE!!!!!! DIE!!!!!!! in the name of Jesus.
2. Every power assigned to disqualify me from the school of midnight watches, DIE! DIE!! DIE!!! in the name of Jesus.
3. Every power programming to de-list and frustrate me out of God’s midnight army, You are a LIAR! DIE! in the name of Jesus.
4. My spirit man, catch the raging fire of the school of midnight prayer watches, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every power that troubleth my destiny until now, I sit in judgement over you now: BE WASTED!!! in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
