The God of Daniel Answers Prayers By Fire!

Sometime in the first quarter of this year 2008, I was at the Prayer City for a program and heard that some overzealous official of the Ogun State Government had come to the praying ground to issue demolition notices against the structures in the church.

Every prayer warrior, (that is what all of us are in the church), raised up our voice to heaven against every power that wants to mock God and put the church of God to shame. Intense and fervent prayers were offered to battle any personality or envious spirit that want to pitch the Ogun State Government against God and His anointed (Psalms 2:1-2).

We also prayed, as it is usual with us, for the prosperity of our Host, Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole. God was provoked to anger and took the battle up and moved mysteriously on our behalf. The rest is history now…

The testimonies of that event today is that: I saw one Daniel bow before the Most Excellency God of another Daniel. That may sound humorous, but don’t worry, it is God who has put another laughter in our mouths, and songs on our tongues, like a dream and like a people whose captivity was turned. (Psalms 126:1-6).

Governor Gbenga Daniel, the Executive Governor of Ogun State came before the sacred altar of the Most High God and worshiped the God of Elijah that answers by Fire. He was at the Prayer City, for the POWER MUST CHANGE HANDS program which holds every 1st Saturday of every month, this time in the Month of June, 2008. My soul sang the popular chorus:

“Praise the Lord, The God of Elijah is still Alive, Praise the Lord, He never changes, at all, at all;

Praise the Lord, The God of Daniel is still in charge, Praise the Lord, He never fail me at all, at all”

“…Governor Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State has commended the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) for its fervent prayers for the state and the nation.

“Otunba Daniel, who paid a surprise visit on the MFM Prayer City along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway during the monthly Power Must Change Hands programme on Saturday morning, said “there is nothing anybody can do without God.

“I want to specially thank the man of God, my name-sake (Dr. Daniel Olukoya, MFM General Overseer worldwide), whose activities preceded his name,” the governor said during the service, adding “I am aware we have a lot of Pentecostal churches, but definitely, the MFM is different.

“When you look at churches where prayer is the issue, MFM is number one. I have heard about it and I have witnessed it today,” he said, drawing a loud ovation from the myriad of worshipers.

Declaring “the Ogun State Government is in support of this (MFM) church,” Otunba Daniel prayed “by the special grace of God, if there is a hand of Satan that wants to create a wedge between the MFM and Ogun State, I pray that may such be scattered.”

With this, the governor put to rest insinuations in certain quarters that the governor was at logger heads with the MFM over the sprawling Prayer City.

By the grace of God, all problems with the church will be solved, he said, urging that if the church continues to do well, then the society will do well.

Governance and church of God’s work are similar, the governor said, pointing out that the church gives succour, hope to the hopeless, which a good government must do, adding that that a good government must give jobs to the jobless, roads where there are none, water where there is

non, but the church of God will give water of God.

Dr. Olukoya, in welcoming Otunba Daniel to the arena, said “I am happy to welcome here today, His Excellency, the Governor of Ogun State,” adding a number of things are common between us

“He is Daniel, I am Daniel, his father is a pastor, my father is a pastor,” but Governor Daniel added a third one that he and Pastor Olukoya went to Unilag together…”

4. POWER to be at the right place at the right time, FALL UPON ME! In Jesus Name.

5. GLORY that cannot be ignored or insulted, Fall upon me now! In Jesus Name.

6. MY BREAKTHROUGH! What are you doing in the valley of wichcraft? APPEAR!!! LOCATE ME!!! In Jesus Name.

7. My Father and My GOD! Break the rod of the wicked over the affairs of Nigeria, Let your glory sweep away every reproach of this nation with the broom of fire! In jesus Name. Amen and Amen!
