THANKSGIVING

Hebrews13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Thanksgiving Day is uniquely an American holiday, because their founding fathers were Christians, and they knew the importance of giving Thanks to God. Whereever you may be in the universe today, give God quality Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving should be the lifestyle of everyone on daily basis, not just one day celebration.

 Why Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving is commanded by God: 1Thessalonians5:18 In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Be thankful to God when things are working well and when they are otherwise. Thanksgiving will make things work together for your good. When that cheque failed, give thanks. When the flowers did not come, give thanks. When you get a jumbo pay, give thanks. God knows all about you, giving Him thanks makes you obedient in that area.

Thanksgiving Is A Sacrifice Unto God: God does not require anything from us, Except to use our lips to thank Him. So you can sing thanks to him or just voice it out. Thanksgiving delights God greatly. David, a man after God’s heart was always giving God praises and thanksgiving to God. Psalm69:30 I will praise the name of God and magnify him with thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving honours and glorifies God: We cannot make God bigger than He is, but we just want to let Him know that we know and appreciate Him. 2Corinthians4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many rebound to the glory of God.

Thanksgiving Enriches You: 2Corinthians9:11 Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through thanksgiving to God. You stand to gain in everything when you give God thanks. There will be increase of the grace of God on your life. Know this for your sake.

Thanksgiving makes you live a stress-free life. Philippians4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. God does not like complaining or murmuring. Do not do any of those shouting or grieving. Just give God quality thanksgiving and take all your cares to Him. Your blood pressure will remain normal and you will live long.

Thanksgiving Keeps you In Faith: Colossians2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and established in faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Your thanksgiving is a sign that you have faith in God. Without faith you cannot please God. Thanksgiving will keep you steady in faith.

What To Thank God For: You have several things to thank God for. I want to discuss some of them.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for being my God and Father; for making me in your image; for retaining your breath in me and I am still alive; for my redemption by the Blood of Jesus; for forgiving my sins; for being gracious and merciful to me; for the power in the name and the Blood of Jesus; for the power of your word; for all your servants; for food on my table, for water to drink; for renewing my youth like the eagles. THANK YOU LORD!

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for all the trials I had gone through this year; for being with all along; for empowering me to run through troops and leap over walls; for making my horns stronger while you cut off the horns of the wicked; for disappointing the devises of the wicked; for healing all my wounds; for your peace; for fighting my battles for me for answering me always; for teaching me what to do; for inspiring me always. THANK YOU LORD!

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for all the good things I have seen so far; for the things you are yet to do; for you are always true; for cannot fail me; for angelic covering for me; for all your interventions in my affairs. THANK YOU LORD!

You can thank God for every organ of your body; every member of your family; of your church; of your office. MAKE THANKSGIVING YOUR LIFESTYLE and  you will see drastic changes in your life.

Glory to God. Jesus is Lord!
